Take a boat on the Trübsee, before before you rejuvenate in one of the local pubs.
Pros : Awesome Views Easy signs to read, hard to be lost Clean, friendly people all the way Free bus to/from Train station SBB App is very easy to book trains from, easy to pay with Apple Pay. BEST train lines I ever seen, extremely organized and cheap ONLY if you buy the 50% off or higher tier. CONS: Food is expensive, just JUNK food at the restaurant at the top, not worth the price at all. The old man at the entrance where you scan your tickets is rude and hate his job/life seems like Long slow lines to change the voucher to paper ticket, only 2 windows open The hanging cart was closed suppose due to Covid Other than that, beautiful place to visit especially at winter time
Enjoy the panoramic views from Zurich to Lucerne along Lake Lucerne. You'll also get to visit the beautiful city of Lucerne. After 1 hour of free time to explore, the trip continues on to Engelberg. Check out Engelberg's stunning Baroque monastery. Built by Benedictine monks in 1120, there are still over 30 monks living and working in the monastery which dominates the town. Spend the next 3 hours strolling through the village and visit the Swiss cheese factory to experience first-hand how the famous cheese is made. Alternatively, you can hike on the breathtaking trails around the village and enjoy views of the magnificent landscape.
I would like to thank Konrad for his great customer service, he ensured all safety measures are in place and continued to remind us of the social distancing. The trip was worth it, the drive was extra smooth that we didn’t get car sick highly recommend it with “Konrad”, we had our masks on the entire trip and ensured no good and beverages on board the car which was convenient for all. The upgrade part to the top of the mountain was a bit too much however we extremely enjoyed our time in Engelberg village.
