Start the tour with some information about the Culture and Congress Center (KKL), designed by the famous French architect, Jean Nouvel. After that, cross the Seebrücke bridge and admire the excellent view of the lake, as well as to the famous Kapellbrücke (Chapel Bridge). Make your first stop at the 17th-century Hofkirche (Church of St. Leodegar), the most important church in the city known for the biggest organ of its time. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel, and together you’ll make your way into central Lucerne. Enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the city center across the Reuss river, and admire the surrounding mountains. Continue towards the wooden Chapel Bridge, a 200-meter long pedestrian crossing, and learn the history of this beautifully painted bridge.   Discover the car-free inner city circle and the old town, filled with 16th-century buildings. Walk across the Spreuer Bridge and take a coffee break along the Reuss river. After the break, continue along the city wall, built for defensive reasons in the 14th century. End your city tour by the Lion Monument, a rock relief commemorating the massacres of Swiss Guards during the French Revolution.   Your tour guide will then lead you to the boat station, where you’ll board a panoramic yacht and sail out on to Lake Lucerne. Listen to the audio headset commentary during the cruise, or ask your guide about the mountains, houses, and other sights along the shore. After the 1-hour boat tour, you’ll return to Lucerne, where your guide will drop you off back at your hotel.

Begin your tour by meeting your guide at the hotel and make your way together to the train station in Luzern. With the panoramic train over the Brünig pass, you arrive in Interlaken within 2 hours, where you change to the local train. After 20 minutes, you will arrive at Lauterbrunnen, a small village at the end of the valley. While you change the train, have a look at the famous "Staubbach" waterfall. The cogwheel railway from Lauterbrunnen to Kleine Scheidegg takes 35 minutes, passing Wengen,  a small alpine town known for winter sports and the annual FIS world cup downhill race. At Keine Scheidegg at 6600 ft above sea level,  you will change onto the Jungfrau railway, which will take you within 40 minutes to the top. During the ride, the train will stop once in the middle of the tunnel for a scenic stop, where you will get off the train for 5 minutes.  Once you arrive at Jungfraujoch, which is 11333 ft above sea level, your tour guide will lead you through the attractions of this destination. The walking tour will take approx. 1 hour inside the tunnel system. The sightseeing tour is protected from the weather outside and easily accessible. At the Sphinx terraces and on good weather conditions, you may see the black forest in Germany! The continuation of the sightseeing will take you through the "Alpine sensation", a tribute to the construction work of the Jungfrau railway. You will continue through the ice cave to the plateau, a lovely place outside in the middle of snow. The walk around will be finished by passing the chocolate heaven from "Lindt", a small exhibition about chocolate making in Switzerland. According to your preferences, you may have lunch at one of the 3 restaurants at Jungfraujoch. Your tour guide will be happy to assist you and to join you for lunch. Enjoy the view, the feeling of mountains surrounding and the rough weather situations at this altitude, before your tour guide will lead you back to the Jungfrau railway for the descent to Kleine Scheidegg. From here, you will travel on the route to Grindelwald, where the tour guide can make an optional stop. The local train takes you within 40 minutes back to Interlaken with a connection to the intercity train to Luzern, where the tour guide will lead you back to the hotel and the tour will end.

Pascal did an excellent job navigating through people and traffic with ease while keeping up a flowing discussion of what we were seeing, how life in Lucerne has changed since the beginning of the pandemic. Would recommend him without a doubt.
