From Tromso: Small-group Snowshoeing Tour

1. From Tromso: Small-group Snowshoeing Tour

Northern Norway has a unique nature, which changes with varying colors and light of the four seasons. This tour takes you right in the middle of these amazing landscapes. The tour starts from Tromso city center, from where you will head to the coast on the west side of Tromso. With a small group size, 8 people maximum, you will have an intimate and cozy experience. Be driven to the countryside of Tromso. Depending on the snow conditions and weather, the walk will be done either with or without snowshoes. In the autumn months of October and November, you'll get to enjoy the colorful countryside before it is covered with a thick layer of snow. In the winter, the landscape will be white with snow to play in. After the drive, stretch your legs on a nice walk up a small mountain. The Arctic nature offers you an unforgettable experience. During the walk you can view wildlife and when you reach the summit you will be provided with lunch. Your guide will take photos on the tour and share them with you after the trip, free of charge. Just enjoy the hike.

We went on a snowshoeing trip with the fabulous guide Gordon! We had a wonderful time, Gordon even agreed to stop at the local produce store on the way back to buy some specialties. The hike is not particularly difficult, and it is really worth it to enjoy the view of the fjords. Special dedication to the hot chocolate: we tried many during our stay, and the one from Wandering Owl is definitely the best by far. I strongly recommend this activity !

I knew going in that I was going to have a slower pace, but our guide was very accommodating. This was my first time snowshoeing and our guide made it enjoyable. We were able to take very brief stops to take photos. The first half was uphill to a viewpoint, had our lunch, and headed back down. It was snowy. Magical experience.

The whole tour was very well planned by our guide Anthony and the walk was simpler than I thought thus enabling us to enjoy the landscape and at the same time, the view from the peak was breathtaking!

We loved the tour and will have good memories of it. We had a very nice guide who told us much about Norway and made us all lough a lot, it was a fantastic atmosphere. Thank you so much!

Was a very nice hike, Ellie was very knowledgeable and good guide!
