everything started on time, our guide was helpful and informative. the only thing is at no stage (in the trip info, confirmation, or Whatsapp communication) were we notified that the cost for the cable car can go from EUR 30 to EUR 45 if the weather conditions were good. We didn't have an issue with that but just the info would be nice to be included :)

We were going back and forth about booking a guided trekking tour or not (or to just go up the lifts ourselves) and are 100% glad that we ended up booking the tour! The weather was good so we were lucky to be able to go to the summit which we were not expecting as this had not been possible for the last few weeks. The hike was totally worth it and the views were amazing. The pace was great and we had a good amount of breaks also in between where we learned more about Etna. Since we didn’t have hiking shoes ourselves, we were able to borrow those (and a jacket and a stick) from the organizers which was great. The hike up was challenging but in a very nice way. The hike is good for those who regularly do some physical activity.

Absolutely brilliant trip with a knowledgeable guide who, due to conditions being safer than expected, changed the plan and took us right to the top. Wonderful views of the craters and lava fields, sulphur deposits and blowing vents. Quite a strenuous day.....we do a lot of mountain walking so were fine, but be warned, it's not a walk in the park!
