Barcelona: Gaudi's Casa Vicens Skip-the-Line Entrance Ticket

1. Barcelona: Gaudi's Casa Vicens Skip-the-Line Entrance Ticket

Visit Casa Vicens, the first house of Gaudí, and the first important work by the architect. This was the work that marked his point of departure, an architectural gem which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2005.  Constructed between 1883 and 1885 by order of Mr. Manuel Vicens, Casa Vicens is one of the first masterpieces of Modernism, and an anticipation of the later work of Gaudí.  Originally, it was projected as a holiday home with a garden, in which geometric shapes and rich ornamentation, inspired by the surrounding vegetation, are present both in the exterior of the house and in the different interior spaces. This skip-the-line ticket allows you priority entrance and access to the whole complex.

Gaudi Tour: Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló

2. Gaudi Tour: Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló

The name Gaudí is almost synonymous with Barcelona. The city’s favorite architect has come to embody the style of a city deeply rooted in its natural surroundings. This is Barcelona at its vibrant, playful best. On this, the most complete tour of Gaudí’s work, visit three of his residential works, including one unknown to most visitors; skip long lines to wander around the beautiful Park Guell; and embark on a thorough exploration of Gaudí’s greatest work and final resting place, La Sagrada Família. Your tour starts with first entrance to Casa Batlló, arguably Gaudí’s most impressive residential property. Enter ahead of the morning crowds and discover the genius solutions Gaudí employed to solve architectural problems throughout the house, dispersing light and air throughout its many levels. A sure highlight is the roof, designed to resemble the scales of a dragon – the great emblem of Barcelona. Somewhere in the middle is Park Guell. Part fanciful explosion of color, part thoughtful study of organic forms, it is a perfect reflection of the natural world. Since this became a ticketed site a few years ago, entrance lines have become extremely long – so it’s a good thing you have skip-the-line access. Your tour ends, as Gaudí himself did – in the La Sagrada Família. It can be hard to know where to look on your first visit to La Sagrada Família, so it’s lucky you have a Gaudí expert on hand to guide your experience. You’ll spend a full hour exploring the church itself. Due to the popularity of Gaudí and his works, there are long lines outside all three of the sites you will enter (Casa Batlló, Park Guell and La Sagrada Família), but with pre-reserved entrance to each, you will sail straight inside. Meanwhile a private transport between sites means you’ll cover more ground than would be possible even in a whole day on your own. Give Gaudí the time he deserves on this complete tour of his finest works.

I met my enthusiastic guide, Sofia, at the colourful Casa Vicens, one of Gaudi's earliest projects as she explained the history of the Modernist movement. After, we visited Casa Batlló, Casa Amatller, and Casa Mulleras before heading to Casa Milà. With Sofia pointing out so many interesting facts. The morning finishes on the rooftops, for a panoramic view over the city, and to see the iconic 'warrior head' chimneys. After lunch, we met at Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, before heading to Barcelona's most iconic landmark, La Sagrada Familia, where Sofia pointed out so many hidden details before going inside. The whole tour was fantastic, and certainly worthwhile if you want to learn more about the works of Gaudi, along with other beautiful buildings of Barcelona. If you're looking for a full day, comprehensive tour of Barcelona, with a focus on Gaudi, then you won't be disappointed booking on to this. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge love of Barcelona and Gaudi.

We had such a wonderful time! Oliver was the perfect guide. He was so knowledgeable and we learned so much about Gaudi and his creations. Thank you so much Oliver. =D I will definitely recommend the tour. The only thing I wished would had been different is that I would had love to see the inside of Casa Vicens in this tour too.

Discovering Gaudi was a privilege and a pleasure. Our guide was informative and obviously in awe of Gaudi as we were by the end of the day. All sites we visited were amazing and doing the three is a must. We also visited Casa Mila on our own, not to be missed.

This was a fabulous tour and our guide was very warm and knowledgeable. We saw and experienced so much with incredible ease. Having a guide made a huge difference. This was the highlight of our 10 day trip to Spain.

The audio was fantastic as was the knowledge of the guide.
