What people are saying about Casa di Nettuno ed Anfitrite

Exciting experience

The tourist company welcomed us in the office, clarified the program, and gave us the vouchers. We travelled by shuttle buses of another local company. There is no guide during the day. Vouchers must be substituted for tickets at entrances. In the case of Vesuvius, this was uncomfortable. The bus stopped near the starting point of Vesuvius's pedestrian ascent, and the ticket office was 200 meters down the road. The parking for buses and taxis is crowded and dangerous for pedestrians. It takes at least an hour and a half to climb to the volcano crater and return. It is possible to return to Naples on a later bus.

Our driver, Francesco, and the archeologist, Diego, who was our guide, were both fantastic: very polite and always on time, with an excellent sense of humour. I'll never forget our visit and the vivid as well as entertaining, at the same time scholarly descriptions of ancient culture. Thank you, Francesco and Diego!

Basically a shuttle bus

Could have done with less time at mount vesuvius and more time at herculaneum. There was no wine tasting stop as advertised either. Mister White, who is the actual tour company, asked get your guide to remove that part of the tour from their adverts a couple of months ago.

Nice view over Naples, there is not much to see at Vesuvius. Put on sturdy shoes. The ascent is a bit steep and already exhausting for older people. In between there are small kiosks where you can catch your breath. Toilets are only at the entrance and are very dirty.

Great trip well organised with a well spoken bus driver

Although u never got a guide on the trip to take you on the bus it was well worth doing. The bus had a guided talk as u went along and the driver always helped with meeting times and information needed. Both places were great.
