Then you’re adventure begins: you’ll take to the water by kayak and make your way towards the Benagil Caves. The best way to enter the caves is by kayak just after sunrise, since during the day the area becomes overcrowded with tourists and boats. At this early hour you’ll have ample time and opportunity to capture stunning pictures and relax on the beach. You’ll explore the Benagil Cave for 30 minutes, enjoying a refreshing dip and walk. If possible you will also discover two more breathtaking smaller caves.

Over the course of this tour, you'll get to explore several caves, watch local fish and birdlife, and see rock formations and corals in the area. Learn how to correctly use the kayak with your guide who will explain the proper techniques and safety precautions that you need to take when you're inside the caves.   The tour starts from Benagil Beach before heading to some of the so-called cathedrals of the sea. Discover the wonders along the coast of Portimão on a half-day catamaran cruise. You will explore the beaches of Praia de Benagil, and Praia da Rocha, rock formations along the coast, and more. Dive into the water for swimming or snorkeling before returning to the shore. Depart from the marina in Portimão and sail towards the beautiful caves of Algar de Benagil. Take in the dramatic views of various beaches like Praia da Rocha, Farol de Alfazina, Praia de Carvoeiro, Praia de Benagil, and Praia da Marinha. You will also admire the rock formations dotted along the coast before arriving at the bay of João de Arens. Drop the anchor to relax and keep an eye out for the friendly dolphins who inhabit the region. Soak up the sunshine on deck or take a refreshing swim in the turquoise water. Keep a lookout, as dolphins can often be seen navigating the waters here, and if they are spotted and are less than 3 miles away, the boat will head in their direction so you can get a closer look at these playful animals. Explore Benagil from the deck of a boat on a cruise with a guide. See the Rock Lady Chapel and the Paria Nova Tunnel, and learn where the Echo Cave got its name. Board at the typical fisherman's beach of Armação de Pêra and begin your cave exploration. Sail with your captains and guides to the 15 top caves between Armação de Pêra and Alfanzina lighthouse. Sail by the beaches of Lagoa and looming rock formations. Visit the Rock Lady Chapel and marvel at the Praia Nova Tunnel. Next, head to the Praia da Cova Redonda and Praia da Marinha. Stop to admire the Marinha Arches, the Yellow Submarine, and the Albandeira Arch. Continue to the iconic Captain's Cave, the famous Benagil Cave, the sonorous Echo Cave, and the calming Paradise Cave.

Departing from the beach at Portimão, head out to the water where the fun begins. Once away from the beach, use a paddle board to gain access to the famous Benagil Cave, or to just paddle around for fun. Enter caves including the natural wonder of Benagil Cave, and see places such as Carvoeiro Village, the “Doll" in Algar Seco, and the Alfanzina Lighthouse. Encounter famous local beaches, including Vale Centeanes Beach, Carvalho Beach, Benagil Beach, and the world-famous Marinha Beach. Throughout your tour you will stop for approximately 30 minutes to do some snorkeling, paddle, access a private beach, or top up your tan on the padded sundeck.

After becoming totally equipped with your board, life jacket, and paddle, you will take part in a brief lesson so that everybody is able to paddle properly. Once the lesson is over, you will jump into the water with your guides to begin the tour. The first moments in the water will be dedicated to getting used to standing up on the board whilst paddling. Once everybody's comfortable the attention can shift to the amazing landscapes around the cliffs. Throughout the tour you can have a closer look at the cliffs by paddling close to them, and will also pass through a few caves. Throughout the tour you will stop inside the world famous "Algar of Benagil", and after exploring the entire area you will return to the starting point at Benagil Beach.
