Experience the Benagil Caves with its spectacular natural sights with fossil rock formations, secret caves, hidden beaches, and naturally made arches on a 2-hour tour with a local guide and professional stand-up paddle coach. You will learn how to identify fossils inside the caves and on the rocks. Enjoy time inside the cave to take your Instagram pictures of this unique and exciting stand-up paddling adventure.  If you've never tried stand-up paddleboarding before, then you're in for a treat. Your local guide and a professional instructor will show you the basics and will make sure you paddle safely using safety techniques. All paddleboard equipment will be provided free of microbes, including wetsuits and buoyancy aids.

The tour will start at the magnificent Carvalho beach. A small beach totally surrounded and protected by its limestone cliffs where the access is through a tunnel carved by the older generations of the area. From there, you will get your stand up paddle board and depart on an unforgettable ride with a guide. First, you'll see the most breathtaking caves, “algars” and natural formations always with one of our guides taking the lead, making sure that everybody is safe and having the most fun. You'll see around 10 caves and during the experience and enter in about 5! We drop off inside at the most famous cave of Portugal, the “Algar” of Benagil. There, you’re gonna have the chance to feel its mighty energy and relax. Gopro10 photos will be taken and delivered to you We intend to take small groups on our tours (maximum 10 people), so we can develop a closer relation with you and make sure that everyone has the attention that is needed. Additionally, we will get away from the typical confusion of the high season by doing a route that is way calmer and most of the people don’t know about. One of the main goals is to give you a calm, fun and relaxing experience so you won’t forget Algarve and the BrotheRootz spirit and way of living. We will finish our journey, once again, at Carvalho beach.

Departing from the beach at Portimão, head out to the water where the fun begins. Once away from the beach, use a paddle board to gain access to the famous Benagil Cave, or to just paddle around for fun. Enter caves including the natural wonder of Benagil Cave, and see places such as Carvoeiro Village, the “Doll" in Algar Seco, and the Alfanzina Lighthouse. Encounter famous local beaches, including Vale Centeanes Beach, Carvalho Beach, Benagil Beach, and the world-famous Marinha Beach. Throughout your tour you will stop for approximately 30 minutes to do some snorkeling, paddle, access a private beach, or top up your tan on the padded sundeck.

After becoming totally equipped with your board, life jacket, and paddle, you will take part in a brief lesson so that everybody is able to paddle properly. Once the lesson is over, you will jump into the water with your guides to begin the tour. The first moments in the water will be dedicated to getting used to standing up on the board whilst paddling. Once everybody's comfortable the attention can shift to the amazing landscapes around the cliffs. Throughout the tour you can have a closer look at the cliffs by paddling close to them, and will also pass through a few caves. Throughout the tour you will stop inside the world famous "Algar of Benagil", and after exploring the entire area you will return to the starting point at Benagil Beach.
