We had an amazing time paddle boarding - not only to the Benagil cave, but to many of the others nearby. Francisco was a fantastic guide. While many of the other groups we saw had huge groups with limited coordination and questionable safety, Francisco intentionally keeps the group really small. (We had just 4 people on ours.) He was clearly very experienced and cared deeply about the area and our experience. We also ended up having a long discussion about the history, economy, and evolution of Portugal and the Algarve area. Francisco is extremely knowledgeable, interesting, engaging, and fun. We had such a great time, we came back the next day and rented paddle boards from Francisco's small company 'Brotherootzs" to see more caves around there. Overall was one of the top experiences of our whole trip to Portugal.

We had a wonderful morning SUP tour with Caio, who is a very experienced and likeable instructor. The tour was quite personal, since we were only three people on the tour - very much unlike the mass tourism you see from many tour operators at the Benagil Caves. Riding the SUP and getting in and out of the water was very easy with Caio's instructions, even if you've never been on a SUP before. Since he is a studied geologist, he provided us with very interesting information about how the Benagil Cave has formed over millions of years. He also took some cool photos of us with his GoPro from different angles. What is also great about this tour is that they usually visit some small caves along the way to the Benagil Cave, although we could not do this at the time because the sea was a bit choppy. Highly recommended tour!

It was a wonderful adventure! Instructor Francisco explained everything clearly and resourcefully, my friends and I, one of whom could not swim, swam safely and had a great time. Cool photos, learning how to stand on the blackboard and high professionalism! Very cool guys, I recommend it to everyone :)
