  • From Sorrento: Capri Boat Trip with visit to the Blue Grotto

    1. From Sorrento: Capri Boat Trip with visit to the Blue Grotto

This tour has been designed to give you the best chance of visiting the Blue Grotto, one of the most famous attractions of the beautiful island of Capri. This unique sea cave, formed over the millennia by the erosive action of the sea, owes its name and its beauty to the intense blue color of the crystalline water. In Roman times it was used as a marine nymphaeum. To enter the cave, visitors climb aboard a small rowing boat, however, the weather and sea conditions, unfortunately, do not always allow the opening of the cave, in which case it will only be visible from the outside. An early departure allows you to reach the Blue Grotto, the first stop of the tour, at around 09:00 AM, the opening time of the Grotto. In the rush hour the waiting time for visiting the Blue Grotto could be longer than 3 hours.  The day continues with the tour of the whole island reaching the Faraglioni, the W...

We had Michael who was excellent! He made sure we were the first ones at the Blue Grotto and even ten mins later there were major lines. He also pointed out many views, islands and attractions. He was also high energy and just great fun. Loved it. Worth it.

Absolutely beautiful day thanks to the excellent organisation and a very kind captain Dario. We saw the blue cave early in the morning so we skipped long waiting lines, had a wonderful time on Capri island and finished the unique experience with a lovely swim. Dario showed us all the most important spots and caves. Highly recommended!!!!

It was just fun and one of our highlights during our road trip through Italy. The on-site parking lot was free which was great. Our guides were very personable and could tell us a lot along the way. On the way back at sunset you could really switch off. Definitely worth the money :)

Blue grotto was closed due to rough seas but the tour and crew were great
