The star of the show, our pride and joy that started this journey of ours. Mr. H. Hovdenak made Stuðlaberg Back in 2009 while he was distilling and infusing spirits with different botanicals. From his experiments he made a recipe that was called Gin 201, that later got the name Stuðlaberg. The name is the Icelandic name for the beautiful colomnus rock formation, widely found in Iceland. But Stuðlaberg wasn't made over night, it took several years to perfect the recipe used today. All the hard work and micro adjustments over the years payed off, as a result Stuðlaberg Gin is the most awarded Icelandic gin that is distilled and bottled in Iceland. The perfect balance of botanicals, the famous Icelandic water combined with our unique distillation method, where we lower the boiling temperature of the alcohol down to 37°C this way we conserve the complex flavors of our special small batch gin. Our gin has won gold metals all over the world and it is one of the most awarded spirit in Iceland
