Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunset Hike

3. Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunset Hike

This is a wonderful hike for families, as well as for couples, as the sunset is incredibly romantic from the top of Lions Head. View the Cape from 670 meters with panoramic views of the city, Table Mountain, Robben Island, and the beaches below including Camps Bay and Sea Point.  There are two paths that can be taken to the summit: the adventurous path using the staples and chains, or the easier route that avoids them. This hike is very popular all year round especially when the moon is full. Hike down almost with no extra torchlight, the moon can be so bright. If the moon isn't full when you tour, grab a head torch and wind breaker and head off. You are able to do a sunrise hike to the top, a day hike or even a sunset hike, according to your preference.

Our guide Lynette was just great. She picked us up on time. We got a great briefing. She asked about our fitness, allergies, handicaps. During the whole tour she always asked if everthing was okay, if we are doing well. We also received a lot of information, historical, about the animal world and a lot about the plants and how they can be used. Alain and Alain gladly. Full score.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip with Kirsten who was so knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and especially all the fauna ... she has certainly sparked an interest in the fabulous flowers and shrubbery that SA has to offer. Thanks so much Kirsten for a wonderful morning and for the good fun we had.

Beautiful experience. Would recommend this team to anyone looking for a good time and friendly service on the water. Max the barman turned photographer made sure to keep our glasses full and feet steady. Appreciate the awesome ride.
