Unfortunately we were not able to see Whales and the guide told us that there was just one boat going out to see whales (so they searched that for us) but this boat was full already (i think was the same company I contacted some days before). Despite this, the company organizing this tour was very good. They contacted us due to changes they wanted to make, but it was ok for them if we didnt want them (we changed the day due to weather, so it worked for us) The trip was very nice Denver and (I dont remember her name) the german translator were very nice people and learnt a lot from the country and the people. They were very patient and we didnt feel under stress as we did in another day tour with another company. We could totally recommend the tour, the company and the guides are very professional and nice. To see the whale is a mather of nature, or being lucky :)

Boat tour with some whales

As was the second time in Hermanus to see whales. We were lucky and saw about 4 whales. This time we were even able to take a closer look at the caudal fin, as a whale has done a "headstand" for a long time. The ride on the boat was ok, but we had a bit higher waves on the way back. The driver was quite fast and some passengers hit it on the stomach

fantastic!

This tour is a must if you are in South Africa at the right time. We were a small group, our tour guide was in a great mood and there was also a German-speaking companion who translated. On the way to Hermanus, the tour guide gave us a lot of information, we did a quiz and it was just a totally relaxed atmosphere. Arrived in Hermanus (before a short stop in the botanical garden) you can optionally buy a ticket for the boat tour. This costs almost 50 euros again, but it's worth it! Saw a lot of whales, some came up to 10 meters from our boat. It was amazing. You could also see a few whales from the coast, but they were too far away, so I recommend the boat tour! On board there was a cold drink and a small bag of chips for everyone. Crew was very nice. At the wine tasting you could also drink something else, it was included in the price.
