Full description

After a morning departure, you will head up the N1 Highway, through the spectacular Hex River Valley, and arrive at the Aquila Private Game Reserve. The bio-diverse habitat of the reserve ensures plenty of interest for the avid game viewer and bird watcher. Spot giraffes, blesbok, black and blue wildebeest, zebras, springbok, gemsbok, klipspringers, duikers, greybuck, steenbok, ostriches, baboons, caracals, foxes, jackals, and more.

The reserve is also home to Africa's Big 5, lions, leopards, elephants, buffalo, and rhino, as well as 172 species of birds, including the black eagle. Enjoy a game drive with a well-informed ranger followed by a delicious lunch at the lodge.

Our driver was really very nice The magnificent Aquila lodge with an excellent welcome and the very good meal Concerning the safari it is a large open-air zoo but you can see 4 of the 5 big five At the same time it is not a park but a reserve

Absolute AMAZING. From start to finish the experience was excellent - I was staying with family in Camps Bay and they picked me up from my doorstep. The game reserve staff were friendly and informative. We saw so many wonderful animals and had lots of time to stop and look at them and take photos. The lunch was delicious as well. 10/10

It was more like a big zoo. Lions were in a semi big electric-fence-area. Saw all the big 5 except a leopard. Staff was very friendly. Mostly older people and families attended. Was a bit concerned the day before because the company didnt provide further information like get your guide suggested.
