Interesting trip but outcome very much depending on luck!

You get picked up very early (5:15 am) to drive to Gaansbai, where you get a quick breakfast and an introduction to the upcoming trip. Then you board the boat and after ca. 25 min arrive at the anchor point. On board you change into the diving suits and then the first group of people go into the cage. Water was very cold and you don’t see very far. What you see in the end depends very much on your luck: for me personally, it was a rather disappointing experience though others on the same trip did get to see more sharks. If you don’t mind this „gamble“ I‘d recommend going.

The ocean was very wavy, almost everybody got sick. It was difficult to stay under the sea to see the sharks . The crew was very helpful tough. There was no white sharks only couple of copper heard sharks. There was also no visit to African penguin and seabird sanctuary no explanation given

It was good to try! The staff is very kind and helpful. After diving they gave to us hot chocolate and biscuits ☕️ In additional, in the centre we had everything we needed - we could take a shower, use soft bathrobe and take pictures with nice paintings on the walls.

Very well organised with knowledgeable and helpful staff. Definitely worth the journey from Cape Town. Attended the day with my 2 grownup children who also rated the day/experience as one to remember and also thoroughly enjoyed the day. Would highly recommend!

Saw some copper sharks up close & personal, great whites are not in season at shark alley. However it was nice to do the experience overall and see some kind of sharks, something is better than nothing. The team was very nice and the experience was safe.
