This was a great activity to do in Cape Town. It starts with a walking tour of the brightly coloured houses of Bo Kaap. Our guide has lived in the area for decades and was able to give a real-life experience and history of living in the area. We then went on to cook some amazing food. The atmosphere was relaxed, and thankfully, no previous experience of cooking Malay food was needed! The conversation was flowing as we continued to learn more about the people of Bo Kapp, whilst listening to the competitive sounds of dominoes being played on the streets outside. Our food was delicious as our guide also bought us dessert from the local shop. Highly recommended tour that is a must if you're visiting Cape Town. P&N

My guide for the walking tour was professional and had loads of interesting facts of the area. The cooking with Faldela was a joy! Such aromatic spices and flavours, wrapped up in a totally delicious curry & roti, samoosas & chili bites, finished off with delectable koesisters. This is a very worthwhile activity for locals and tourists.

I was taken on a guided tour of Bo Kapp and given a brief history of the area. The guide herself Faldela was fantastic and very welcoming. Bo Kapp is a beautiful, vibrant colourful place with many of the houses painted in amazing yellows, oranges, purples etc. The malay cooking is brilliant and tastes out of this world and the company is fabulous. I'd highly recommend going on this tour.
