Not too far from the starting point, right after leaving the center of Amalfi, you will get close to the Saint Andrew Grotto, a huge natural sea cave full of stalactites named after the patron saint of Amalfi (Andrea). Then, once passed Duoglio and Santa Croce beaches, you will stop by the "Arc of Lovers", a natural rock arch created millions of years ago by the erosion of the s...

The Amalfi coast is beautiful, but it's best experienced by boat. My wife and I were visiting for our honeymoon and had the best time meeting new friends from around the world. Rafa was a fantastic guide, he took us town by town from Amalfi to Positano exploring highlights both natural and built. Rafa's experience in the area really showed as he described local features like grottos, famous businesses and hotels. The two stops for swimming and snorkeling were a great way to break up the boat tour. We enjoyed food and snacks along the way. I can't recommend this tour enough! Support a local and his new business while getting to know the Amalfi coast!

Apart from a few small issues, this was a very nice experience. First thing you need to know is that the trip starts with a bus transportation to Sorrento, which takes a big more than an hour. In our case we also had some waiting time for a smaller bus to take us from a parking to the harbour. But from the moment we got on the boat, everything was great! The boat is very nice and comfortable (make sure to get to the front before others!). Both on the way and back we got a chance for a swim. There were two stops, in Amalfi and Positano, both very nice little town. Our guide was very knowledgable and had a lot of info regarding the things we saw on the way. Unfortunately her English pronounciation was a bit difficult to understand. Food and drinks on the boat were simple but quite plentiful and good quality. All in all, the trip was very pleasant and well worth the money.

  • From Sorrento: Capri Boat Trip with visit to the Blue Grotto

    8. From Sorrento: Capri Boat Trip with visit to the Blue Grotto

This tour has been designed to give you the best chance of visiting the Blue Grotto, one of the most famous attractions of the beautiful island of Capri. This unique sea cave, formed over the millennia by the erosive action of the sea, owes its name and its beauty to the intense blue color of the crystalline water. In Roman times it was used as a marine nymphaeum. To enter the cave, visitors climb aboard a small rowing boat, however, the weather and sea conditions, unfortunately, do not always allow the opening of the cave, in which case it will only be visible from the outside. An early departure allows you to reach the Blue Grotto, the first stop of the tour, at around 09:00 AM, the opening time of the Grotto. In the rush hour the waiting time for visiting the Blue Grotto could be longer than 3 hours.  The day continues with the tour of the whole island reaching the Faraglioni, the W...

We had Michael who was excellent! He made sure we were the first ones at the Blue Grotto and even ten mins later there were major lines. He also pointed out many views, islands and attractions. He was also high energy and just great fun. Loved it. Worth it.

    10. Capri: Private Gozzo Boat Island Tour

Sailing on a boat for a tour around the island of Capri is the most amazing way to explore the coastal region of this stunning region. You can admire its dramatic cliffs and spectacular rock formations as you relax in your own private Gozzo boat. Many tourists are completely unaware that the Blue Grotto is just one of a whole host of multi-coloured caves and rock formations which can be admired during a tour around the island. A boat trip around the coast of Capri also offers to its passengers the opportunity to visit bays which are totally inaccessible by land. You will discover peaceful havens far from the crowded beaches, which are the perfect places to enjoy a dip in the sea.

We really enjoyed our boating trip to Capri. We went around the island with several stops for swimming. We landed on Marina Piccola and then had 4 hours on Capri. We were able to go up to Monte Solaro and enjoyed the great views. We left and Marina Piccola, went for a swim, then boated through the famous arch. Antonio and Raphael could not have been nicer or more accommodating.
