  • Herculaneum 2-Hour Private Guided Tour

    1. Herculaneum 2-Hour Private Guided Tour

Meet your private guide at Herculaneum for a 2-hour guided tour of the archeological site. Herculaneum was located closer to Vesuvius than Pompeii, and was buried deeper by the lava, which better preserved the architecture. Admire the colorful murals and other artwork of the homes of wealthy nobles, which are reminders that Herculaneum was also richer than Pompeii. Learn about ancient Roman culture as your guide utilizes the ruins to paint a vivid picture of life during that time. Bring the whole family on this private tour, as its flexible structure makes it ideal for families with children.

We very much enjoyed our 2hr tour of Herculaneum. Our tour guide Daniela has been giving tours ranging from 2hrs to full days of both Herculaneum and Pompeii for 23 years and had endless knowledge about the past, present, and future of Herculaneum. She brought an iPad with her that was especially helpful for some visualizations of what buildings we stopped in would have looked like back in the 1st century AD. All-in-all, my girlfriend and I have a high bar for cultural tours like this, but the two hours went by too quickly and we very much enjoyed it all. We would highly recommend Daniela and Herculaneum, and the service that set us up.

  • Sorrento Coast Parasailing Experience & Boat Tour

    3. Sorrento Coast Parasailing Experience & Boat Tour

Take a solo, tandem or triple parasail flight, and soar high above the tranquil blue waters. Experiencing the scenery from this height is amazing and will allow you to see around and beyond the entire Bay of Naples. When you arrive, you will be fully looked after by the crew who will provide you with the latest up-to-date parasailing equipment. Listen to a briefing about parasailing procedures and safety. As the purpose-built parasailing boat departs, you will be gently lifted off the back deck. When you are in the air, sit back, relax and absorb the amazing views. After approximately 10-12 minutes of flight time, your instructor will carefully bring you and your parachute back on to the platform of the boat.

We booked the parasailing online. Captain Ago exceeded expectations. Highly recommend Captain Ago. Unfortunately, we booked for 5:30 to 7 pm time slot on-line. The following morning as we were on our way to the train station for a daytrip to pompei I received an email confirming that we were scheduled for 11 am. Only the 1 pm slot was available if we needed to reschedule. We were able to move our Pompei trip to later. But, we spoke to another group that was in Amalfi when they received that same email.

The tour was better than our expectations! The music on the boat has put all of us in a good atmosphere. Viviana and Super Mario were there to give us explainations about some places we visited. We had some free time to visit Amalfi and Positano, and also to swim. The sandwich at midday was also delicious! We clearly recommend this tour to anyone curious to discover the region of Sorrento

  • From Capri: 6-Hour Best of Tour with Blue Grotto

    5. From Capri: 6-Hour Best of Tour with Blue Grotto

This 6-hour tour takes you on a discovery of the island of Capri. After being collected at Pier 23, head to the Blue Grotto by bus and go inside by rowing boat. Marvel at this a natural sea cave in the side of the mountain, 65 meters long and 28 meters wide more or less. Later, visit the village of Anacapri, located 1,800 feet above sea level. Here, you can take a chairlift to Monte Solaro or spend your time exploring Villa San Michele and the Axel Munthe Gardens. Then, it is time to have lunch in a typical local restaurant.  Drive to the main town of Capri, where you can admire the amazing views out over the gulf. In the village, see the famous little buildings of La Piazzetta, the Gardens of Augustus. Here, you can see the famous Faraglioni, the distinctive rocks. End your tour by taking the funicular (cable car) ride for the return to Marina Grande.

I took the option to meet the guide in Capri and pay for my own transport to Capri. I arrived early and the meeting spot is Il gabbiano bar at pier 23. I had tea and breakfast here and I highly recommend to do this if you arrive early into Capri and wait out the crowds from the ferry going up the funicular/cruise to grotto or meeting your tour. The guide was prompt and drove us up to anacapri where I had free time and the guide recommended places to see/things to do. Next was Capri centre. I didn't have lunch included but chose to head to a lovely cafe in Capri centre for lunch before joining the guide back to the harbour. the guide kindly called his contact and reserved me a ticket for the return trip back to Naples as it can get full. I'm glad I saw Capri with the guide as he was very helpful in providing guidance on where to go and what to see to maximise my time there and of course get me back to Naples. Very helpful.

What people are saying about Campania

It was a fantastic experience!! Our host Brunella was such a great teacher and kind host. Everything was perfect from the beginning to the end: the organization, the class, the amazing view at the location and the dinner. Many many thanks to Brunella and her thoughtful teaching!

Great day by boat to discover the Almafitan coast between swimming and discovering Almafi and Positano. Organization at the top, shuttle that picks you up and brings you back to the hotel, which is practical because it is very complicated to park in the region.

What an experience! Diego, Alesso & Paola were absolutely amazing and the food was unbelievable. My wife and I felt right at home and shared many laughs, small bites and glasses of wine everyone. I would highly recommend for everyone.
