Prepare for a wild ride on this guided white water rafting tour down the Tully River. Receive all rafting training and equipment needed before venturing into the water and taking on grade 3-4 rapids. End your experience with lunch or dinner. Begin your adventure with pickup or choose to self-drive to the starting point. Once here, meet your river guide and fellow paddlers and get fitted with your life jacket, helmet, and rafting shoes (if you choose to rent a pair).  Once out on the water, spend up to 4 hours white water rafting on grade 3 and 4 rapids. Paddle hard as you carve your way through the spectacular gorge surrounded by pristine rainforest that’s been listed as a World Heritage Site and was home to the 2019 World Rafting Championships. Rest assured that no experience is necessary for this rafting experience. You’ll receive a comprehensive safety briefing and paddling instructions from your guide who will be there to help throughout your experience.  After your time on the water, replenish your energy with a Riverside BBQ burger lunch or dinner at the Feluga Hotel, depending on the time of your trip. STOP 1 Journey to the Atherton Tablelands which is located 1 hour’s drive from the city via the scenic Gillies Highway. Discover a cool highlands where you will sample a delicious breakfast of local produce and enjoy a special coffee or local tea at an 80-year old lakeside tea house over looking Lake Barrine crater lake surrounded by lush rainforest. STOP 2 Private property of Rainforest Bounty, taste their unique products all made with local tropical Indigenous fruits over looking the Johnstone River. Keep your eyes peeled as you might just spot one of the resident Tree Kangaroos, too! STOP 3Enjoy Gourmet lunch. The Australian Platypus Park is home to a thriving platypus population. Take a wander down to see them in their magnificent setting then sit down to enjoy flavored handcrafted smoked products, combined with a unique blend of local Australian native herbs and spices. These tasty treats are all produced in-house using only the freshest quality ingredients and include Crocodile, Red Claw (Yabby), and Kangaroo with fresh local salads topped off with a boutique beer, Dragon Fruit cider, Lemon Myrtle tea, and finish with a wine tasting of the Murdering Point tropical fruit wine range. STOP 4Arrive at Gallo Dairyland, a working dairy farm where we sample their hand-crafted chocolates and sit down to a selection of their cheeses. Departing from your Cairns or Northern Beaches accommodation, head south to view the agile wallabies that live within the city limits.
