Full description
With your guide, take the Causeway Coastal Route to experience the global landmark, the Giant’s Causeway like never before.  From Belfast, journey in a luxury bus through the bustling seaside towns of Northern Ireland. Your first stop is Carnlough, a tiny traditional Irish fishing village, and an excellent stop to soak in the region’s atmosphere. The mythical impetus of this route will then propel you on to the Caves at Cushendun where you’ll have the option to take a guided walk to the caves if you’re curious enough. Indulge in your Game of Thrones fantasy by visiting The Dark Hedges, the ancient avenue of beech trees used as a filming location in the epic HBO series. Spend 30 minutes here before moving on to the Fullerton Arms in Ballintoy where you can refuel on a hearty lunch.  The Giant’s Causeway, the piece de resistance of the day, is next on your itinerary. Traverse the wonderfully wild and rugged coastal scenery along grass and gravel paths with your guide and see much more of the World Heritage Site than most people even know exists. Discover the quirky and interesting rock formations and sights that would otherwise be missed. Approach the stones and take in incredible clifftop views truly unique to the Causeway Coast and Northern Ireland. The 40,000 interlocking basalt columns you’ll reach are a testament to a major stage in the earth’s development.  Before heading back to Belfast you’ll go to Dunluce Castle, the breathtaking ruins of an ancient castle that was built circa 1500 by the MacQuillan family. While here, take plenty of snaps to remind you of your day. Finally, hop back onto your bus and you'll be safely back in Belfast around 6:00 PM.

The trip was very nice, we had the chance to visit many villages as well as some places where scenes from Game of Thrones were shot. The Giant's Causeway was worth the trip and was the highlight of it. The lunch was also very nice. Peter (the guide) was funny and always provided as of stories and information about the places we were visiting. The bus was comfortable and nice.

A brilliant day, lots of wonderful sites to see and the coach was cool and comfy! The tour guide Derek was hilarious, and a real character (you'll see what I mean). Two hours at the Giant's Causeway was more than enough, and plenty of time to stop for pics at a few other places. Lunch was tasty at a local pub too. Highly recommended trip, and certainly a beautiful and hilly drive around the coast and countryside.

A full day of sightseeing. Due to COVID restrictions some attractions were not available, so other sights from the Game if Thrones tour were added, meaning we had the best of both worlds. The coach was very clean and comfortable and our tour was run by Mc Combs coach tours, with Derek being the driver. He was fabulous, giving a full commentary, pointing out sights and giving us a history of Ireland, he used jokes and stories to keep us entertained. The Causeway is an amazing sight and well worth the visit
