Full description
Book your full-day skip-the-line ticket to the Széchenyi Bath in advance and avoid the long wait in the queue at the entrance. You’ll enjoy fast and easy entrance at a separate Welcome Desk. The Széchenyi Bath is the largest thermal spring bath complex not only in Budapest, but in Europe as well. It was built in 1913 in a Neo-baroque style. At the time it opened its baths were private, having separate steam baths for men and women, as well as different public baths for men and women. In 1927, the spa complex was expanded and today it comprises 3 outdoor and 15 indoor pools. After its expansion, the thermal artesian wasn’t adequate to supply the spa, so a new well was drilled. The second thermal spring dates from 1938. Towels and swimsuits are available for rent or purchase. Please note that swimsuits which cover the entire body are not permitted.

Once we found the right entrance, we had a great time. It’s a bit of a walk however Hereoes Square is nearby and worth a visit. There is a metro nearby. It was a lovely day too. We were given our entrance bands then sorted the towels out and went straight to the changing area all easy to find and staff on hand to help. The thermal pool was amazing. Definitely worth a visit and would recommend.

We arrived at 9.30am, there was no queue and it was very quick to be seen to. We hadn’t took flip flops with us so had to buy some (however when we entered the baths people were walking round bare footed). We didn’t have to pay any extra for lockers and went down to the changing rooms. Although no private there is so many areas that you are in a secluded area anyway. We went to the baths outside which were 28degrees. They were fantastic! I took my phone/sunglasses and towels with me and these were safe left on the side close to where I was. We had also paid for massages (these were quite expensive!) we were taken down to the massage area and this is where it looses a point. The beds were hard, no music or soft settings and the massage was awful. I would not recommend. After we went to the cafe for lunch (people went in their bathing suits), food was delicious! We stayed around 4 hours in total

An enjoyable few hours at the pool. It was marred by the Coronavirus issue and a concern whether to go or not, but a good mix of indoor and outdoor pools. We would have liked to go in the swimming pool, but they insisted on swimming caps!! overall a good experience.
