From Brisbane: Maiala Rainforest Private Tour

2. From Brisbane: Maiala Rainforest Private Tour

After picking you up, we will drive up to Mount Glorious. The winding road to the Maiala walking track goes through the subtropical rainforest of the D’Aguilar National Park. The tour will show you the flora and fauna of a subtropical rainforest with its majestic trees and beautiful canopy. The characteristic calls of the Whipbird, Catbird and Woompo Dove will help you to spot them. Besides the countless little birds, you might be lucky to see skinks, Land Mullets or Lace Monitors. A smaller-sized kangaroo family member called Pademelon also lives in Maiala. They are often seen close to the walking track. The track is around 5km long and it will take us about 3 hours, giving you plenty of time to learn about the area or to take photos of your favorite spots. We will have our lunch and refreshments at the beautiful picnic area. After lunch, we will walk on the mountain's western side with its beautiful lookouts and more impressive trees.

It ended up raining as we through the rainforest, but that seemed to only add to the trip. Thank goodness it was at the end because everyone was soaked, but everyone was happy. The glow worms were definitely the highlight of the trip. Along with the stop for lunch on your own at the cute little town before the glow worms. Highly enjoyed my time.

It was a memorable trip. Our guide Brian was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew the places, the trees, why they are important and so on. The group was also nice. I would conclude by saying the trip is a value for the money we paid.

Packed itinerary with many places to explore in a day:) I didn't feel rushed at all although we covered so many places. Our guide, Bruce, is very friendly and knowledgeable. A great way to discover Sunshine coast!

Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. Brian is very knowledgeable about all we saw in the Rainforest and made it a very interesting tour. Highly recommend this tour for sure.

Brian was an amazing tour guide! We enjoyed our trip so much ;) Thanks Brian :)
