Three quarters of the city is surrounded by mountains, and it is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Visit the most famous landmark of Brasov, the Black Church - the largest gothic edifice in southern Europe dating back to 14th century. Initially called St. Virgin Mary, the church was renamed after the great fire in 1689 that blackened its walls. It hosts the largest bell in the country as well as a collection of oriental carpets dating from the 15th and the 18th centuries.

Day 1: Bucharest, Sighisoara Begin your trip at 9 AM with pickup from Moxa Boutique Hotel via your guide. From here, transfer to the Medieval Saxon Citadel of Sighisoara, founded by Saxons during the 12th century. Explore the place where Vlad the Impaler, also known as Dracula, was born. In the evening, enjoy a delicious traditional Romanian festive dinner, washed down with fiery spirits and Romanian wine. During dinner, enjoy a special program including the Killing of the Living Dead ritual. Spend the night in a 3-star hotel located in the heart of the Medieval citadel. Day 2: Sighisoara, Brasov, and Bran First, stop at the Medieval Saxon City of Brasov -- one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe, and home to the impressive Black Church. Next, explore Transylvania’s famous symbol, Bran Castle, which owes its fame to both its unique charm, and to the myth Bram Stoker created around Dracula. Explore the edifice that dates back to 1377 to Queen Maria of Romania who turned the castle into a beautiful summer residence. Next, a cheese tasting here is strongly recommended, as the village is renowned for its delicious homemade traditional cheeses. Then, prepare for a party at Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. Take a night tour of the castle, meet wicked fairies, and get lost in dance along with a glass of local red wine. Later on in the night, there will be an after-party in the castle's courtyard until 4 AM. Day 3: Bran and Bucharest Transfer to Bucharest Airport for your journey home, arriving in Bucharest after 5 PM (depending on traffic).

After getting picked up from your hotel in Brasov, head to the Rhein Wine Cellars, admiring beautiful scenery of the Carpathian Mountains along the way. Visit the cellars where the sparkling wine is produced and see the industrial machinery used for its bottling. At the end of the visit, enjoy a sample of 3 different types of sparkling wines. Next, head to the Peles Castle, the summer residence of the Romanian royal family. Stroll through the castle's 160 rooms and admire its 19th-century architecture, built in the German Renaissance style. You will also get the chance to see woodwork by Bernhard Ludwig. Stop for lunch at a restaurant in Sinaia, before heading to your final stop, the Sinaia Orthodox Monastery, where 8 monks live today. Here, admire the murals of the church walls, painted in 1695, before beginning the journey back to Brasov.

Take a tour inside the winery's cellar to see how the final product is processed, all handmade exactly as it was 150 years ago. After the tasting, head to Busteni to visit the imposing Cantacuzino Castle and admire the view that opens in front of you from the terrace. See the world's tallest cross on top of the Craiman Mountain which was build in 1922 and dedicated to the heroes of WW1. Get picked up from your hotel in Brasov and head to the small village of Acriș, where you will visit a bison reserve. Spot these majestic animals feeding or just walking around the reserve, which is also home to roe deer and stags. After having a tour of the reserve, your next stop will be at Urlătoarea waterfall, situated in the forest near the village. Considered one of the most beautiful places in Romania, this curtain of water flows down a steep hill, creating a sound that gives its name: Urlătoarea means ”the raging one”. After heavy rainfalls, the sound effect is even more predominant. At the end of your tour, enjoy a well-deserved lunch at a local household. Your hosts will prepare a 3-course meal from local organic products. Taste palinka, the Romanian national drink, and enjoy some quality time in the courtyard.
