5. Weimar: Scavenger Hunt Self-Guided Walking Tour
Your city game box contains 11 sealed and numbered envelopes, each holding riddles that need to be solved. Following clear and precise directions, you will be taken on a walk through Weimar’s wonderful historic city center, as you solve the riddles to find your way to the various sights.
Once you solve a riddle you will be given a number, which reveals which envelope to open next. You won’t know ahead of time in which succession the Scavenger Hunt City Game envelopes need to be opened, and additionally, for all the sights you visit, you will receive detailed information regarding their historical background, current use, and much more.
It’s up to you when to start your scavenger hunt through Weimar historic city center, as well as how long you wish to stay at each location. You can let yourself be transported on a mysterious and unconventional tour. You can take a break from your city game at any time or even continue your scavenger hunt on another day, just as you like.
You will start at the newly-opened Bauhaus Museum, from where you will pass the national theater and the former residences of Goethe and Schiller, as well as the famous Anna-Amalia-Library. You will also come by the castle and park around the river Ilm.
