Campania Overland with this tasting tour, will give you the opportunity to discover the history and all the secrets of the techniques of producing wines at km0, on the slopes of Vesuvius. At the beginning of the tour you will meet with our guide inside the vineyard, from here you will leave for a small tour inside the vineyard. The guide will show you the techniques, handed down from generation to generation, through which the highest quality wines are currently produced, one of the symbols of Campania excellence, including the renamed Lacrima Christi. At the end of the tour you can finally taste a family lunch prepared by Donna Angela, where our wines will be paired. A small sensory journey through the flavors of tradition, you can taste the legendary spaghetti with piennolo tomato, a must on the menu. The tasting and lunch will take place surrounded by a unique landscape of its kind, the union between sea and mountains, between Naples and Sorrento and obviously the view of the imposing Vesuvius will keep you company.

Your Vesuvius experience will begin with you being taken to the parking lot at the peak, where after a 20 to 25-minute ascent you will reach the crater. The entrance is included, along with an internal guide of the volcano who will explain to you all its eruptive history. Following that, you'll stop at Cantine del Vesuvio which is located on the low hills of the volcano and offers spectacular view over the Gulf of Pompeii and Castellammare di Stabia. The program is structured with a guided tour within the 4 hectares of the winery close to the archaeological site of Pompeii, among historical evidences, the vineyards and the elegant structures of the cellar. The tour ends with a tasting of 4-5 types of wine, as well as a traditional Neapolitan light menu with dishes inspired by ancient of Rome. You'll then have 2.5 hours to explore the famous ancient ruins of Pompeii with a professional private guide, upon request. There you can admire the remains of a more than 2,000-year-old Roman town. You can visit the Forum with its public buildings, and will also see markets, a basilica, public thermal baths, houses and characteristic shops, the pistrinum, and the termopolio. Once done, you can walk through the main square of Pompeii and enjoy some shopping or have a fresh drink, before being returned to you pickup location.
