Start your tour after breakfast from your hotel in Tbilisi. During the tour, you will visit the ancient capital of Georgia – Mtskheta. Here you will see wonderful UNESCO heritage monuments. the first being Jvari Monastery from the 7th-century, where the beautiful view on the confluence of two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi can be seen from. Then go to the Svetisckhoveli Cathedral from the 11th-century – the architectural masterpiece of Georgian Renaissance. Then drive to Borjomi, which is situated in the central part of Georgia. The city is well-known for its mineral waters. You can taste natural mineral waters from the spring in the central park of Borjomi. After Borjomi Park, you will visit the beautiful forest of pine, hornbeam, and beech in Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park. Explore one of the easiest trekking routes – “National Park Information Tail”. The route starts from the administration building. After an initial hard ascent, the trail straightens out allowing for an easy trek that takes about 1.5 hours to complete.

Enjoy a day trip to the most scenic sight of central and southern Georgia. After the pick-up from your hotel at 9:00AM, you will soon reach the ancient cave town of Uplistsikhe. Here you can walk through the ruins and beautiful rock formations and see the remains of formal ancient glory of what used to be once the center of Pagan culture. Right next to Uplistsikhe lies Gori, the town known as the birthplace of Stalin, where you can still see the house where he grew up. After about 1.5 hours, you will reach the cozy resort town of Borjomi, surrounded by the largest national park of Georgia. You can wander through the beautiful central park, taste the legendary mineral water of Borjomi directly from the springs and take a bath in the open air thermal pools in the middle of the forest. You can reach the pools by hiking through the forest or taking a ride with a local car operating this route (at own expense). Enjoy a day in nature and historical sights.

Day 1: Tbilisi-Borjomi-Likani to Chitakhevi Ranger Station Walking Distance 8 kilometers, duration 7 hours Visit the Borjomi mineral park where the first mineral water was bottled in Georgia, drink its mineral water from the spring or bottle it yourself. First, you will walk into Likani gorge, and start ascending to the mountains to Chitakhevi Ranger Station. At the shelter, make a fire and rest from a day of beautiful natural sights. Day 2: Chitakhevi Ranger Station to Likani-Tbilisi Walking Distance 8 kilometers, duration 6 hours In the morning, you’ll wake up and start exploring the Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park, located in the central part of Georgia and the eastern part of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. In total, the mountain range makes up more than one percent of Georgian territory. This day trail goes along panoramic views through coniferous forest and runs down to the settlement of Likani.
