After being picked up from your hotel, cross the outskirts of Bogotá and travel for 90 minutes to Fusagasugá. Stop to stretch your legs and take pictures of Tequendama waterfall before arriving at a lush Coloma coffee farm. Upon arrival, learn about the history of the farm and the village. Dress up with a traditional hat and basket to harvest the coffee beans before discovering the complete process of production, from seed to cup. Join us on our Coffee Farm experience as we set out from the center of the city and head an hour and a half deeper into the mountains of Bogotá! We will start the day by enjoying a traditional Colombian breakfast together and then go to meet our local farmers. We will discuss what it means to be an organic coffee farm and what the daily tasks of a farmer look like. Walk around the farm and take in the more than 8,000 coffee plants. Then head to Chingaza National Park, located in the Eastern Cordillera of the Colombian Andes, northeast of Bogotá. At the entrance of the natural reserve, you will pick up your local guide.  The guide will take you through the trails and paths of this paradise. Head out of Bogotá into the great outdoors on this 8-hour excursion to the Chicaque cloud forest. You’ll be picked up at your hotel for the drive to the natural park. From pick up to drop off is a total of 8 hours. The park’s 9 trails are quite well marked, so a guide isn’t necessary to enjoy a day of hiking. This ia an excellent tour with the meeting point in a very nice location. The trip was thru typical Bogota traffic. The tour guide was a very good driver. The stop at the waterfall was very beautiful. A little chilly bring a jacket. The tour of the coffee plantation was most excellent. The hat and basket for picking the coffee beans was a nice touch. The guides at the coffee plantation are very knowledgeable, friendly and speak good English. The coffee and liquor at the end of the tour were quite good.

We did a private tour with Andres. He is a very knowledgeable guide, well spoken and helpful. The logistics coordination was easy with Andres getting in touch via WhatsApp to confirm pickup time and location. He also went out of his way to help us figure out our NYE plans. Great experience!

Marcela was an amazing guide! She was very knowledgeable of the park and made the hike so fun! The drive into the mountains was absolutely beautiful and the trail to the waterfall had dozens of scenic overlooks. It’s a great escape from the city. Highly recommend!!
