Full description
Travel deep into the Andean jungle on a 3-hour trek to see the great sights of El Chiflón and La Chorrera waterfalls. After meeting your experienced bilingual guide in Bogotá, you’ll drive past the East Hills and stop to take pictures of the paramo of Cruz Verde.   Arrive in the countryside and begin the approximately 3-hour round-trip hike through the lush, green Andean forest, learning about the native life and plants of the area. After about 30 minutes, you’ll arrive at the first waterfall, El Chiflón. Stand behind the rushing water, and feel the refreshing shower seemingly coming from the sky.   Continue your trek for approximately another hour to the 1,936-foot (590-meter) wall of cascading water that is La Chorrera. Take in the breathtaking sight of Colombia's mightiest waterfall amid a wonderland of natural beauty.     Throughout the hike, see and learn about the colorful birds hidden at the top of the trees and breathe in the clean air in this spectacular landscape.   This tour also includes local Colombian breakfast and lunch, as well as a sampling of cheese produced by local farmers.

Jena was a great guide! And it was wonderful to have a chance to see one of the tallest waterfalls in South America up close. We had extremely rainy weather and that impacted our hike, it got so muddy that we were sliding towards the end and there was a lot of cow poo on the trail. Would recommend packing extra dry clothes for a change for the ride home. Great experience to see the local farmers as well and eat with them

It was not an easy hike but it was worth it. The view is so beautiful. It wasn't hot but not cold either and we had good weather. Our guide was excellent and very attentive and helpful and fun. He was very patient and kept a good pace. We all really enjoyed this hiking.

We had such a great time visiting La Chorrera and just a magical day overall. Our guide Freddy was so friendly, knowledgeable and genuine. We ended up spending extra time on the hike, getting to see some additional parts of the park, and he never rushed us or made us feel like we had to skip anything. I went on this adventure by myself, but made some new friends and we just had such a great group and wonderful day. You cannot believe this amazing natural park is just outside Bogota. Highly recommend!
