Explore the unique travertine terraces of Pamukkale (literally “Cotton Castles” in Turkish), and enjoy a full-day trip to one of Turkey’s most popular attractions. Depart Bodrum and transfer by air-conditioned coach to Pamukkale, known as the “8th Wonder of the World” to those in the know. Explore the natural landscape of limpid pools, hot springs, and travertine, terraces of carbonate minerals left by flowing water. Inscribed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1988, Pamukkale attracts some 2 million visitors every year. Get a view of the terraces from the hills on the opposite side of the valley in the town of Denizli. Then, go to the ruins of the ancient Greek-Roman city of Hierapolis, built on top of the “Cotton Castles” in the 2nd century BC. See the remains of the Roman amphitheater, and visit the former Turkish Bath, now converted into an archaeological museum.

Pamukkale ist auf jeden Fall sehr sehenswert. Durch die lange Anfahrt ist der Aufenthalt auf 3h begrenzt, aber auch mit baden absolut schaffbar. Wer Probleme mit dem Rücken hat oder evtl sehr groß ist, sollte sich die Reise aufgrund des Kleinbusses gut überlegen. Die 2 Verkauf-Stopps kann man hier auch gut zum Vertereten der Beine nutzen - es ist alles eine Sache des Mindsets. Wir wurden pünktlich abgeholt, entgegen anderer Bewertungen. Das Mittagessen war vollkommen i.O. Auch sonst gibt es während der Toilettenpausen die Möglichkeit sich etwas zu Essen zu kaufen (inkl. einer Frühstückspause), auch in Pamukkale. Der Guide ist freundlich und gibt umfangreiche Informationen.

Very nice experience. The driver was on time and a big thank you because the road is long! Thanks to our guide Fatma who was very kind. The experience in Pammukale is just great! It's far from Bodrum but you won't regret it. The only negative point is that we don't have enough time for the site visit. 2 hours is really too short to see everything

The transport was set to come as early as 5:20 am but in reality came at 6 am - it would usually be still fine but getting so early tow ait for a transport that is delayed that kuch is not OK- some better coordination is needed for the pick up hours! Other than that the Guide was very knowledgeable and nice!
