Full description
On this private tour, travel by Jeep or by 4X4 van to the trailhead. Start off with a short hike to Wolfman Panel, which is a mile round trip with little elevation loss. Hike to a petroglyph panel, which is a great reward for a short hike. Next, drive further into Bears Ears National Monument and stop at the Monarch Cave Trailhead. Let your experienced guide show you the way. Monarch Cave is a 3-mile round trip hike and is one of the most preserved sites along Butler Wash. Follow the bottom of the canyon and enjoy the shady relief from the summer sun. Exploring Monarch Cave and Wolfman along Butler Wash makes a nice half-day trip. On the full-day trip, start with Procession Panel in the morning. This hike is best done in the morning to avoid the afternoon sun. Climb straight up the sandstone back side of Comb Ridge about 400 feet. After Procession Panel, have lunch at the vehicle. Next, hike to Monarch Cave and Wolfman Panel.  All trips are small, private groups, so you can fit in as much as you'd like within the time frame.
