Full description
Take a culinary tour through Kreuzberg, one of the trendiest districts in Berlin, full of culinary delights with a generous side of history. Enjoy the best currywurst in the city with a shot of herbal schnapps unique to Berlin. Learn all about the development of the district, its military past, and the origin of Sarotti chocolate from your experienced tour guide. Taste mustard from a local Berlin manufacturer or take part in a craft beer tasting while exploring typical Kreuzberg backyards — beautiful courtyard areas created for rich officers, and commercial courtyards such as the Sarotti-Höfe. Climb up the Kreuzberg hill and enjoy a spectacular view of a small waterfall and the district from the national monument. Walk past a real wine-growing area in Kreuzberg and the former home of the first functioning computer in the world, and enjoy a wine tasting or an espresso. Experience the lively Bergmannstraße, full of multicultural hustle and bustle. In the Chamissokiez, hear the story of a kidnapping hideout before heading towards the Marheineke Markthalle, where you can learn more about the history of the market hall and see many historical photos. You will also experience a sausage and cheese tasting here. Later, enjoy a chocolate candy of your choice, made in Berlin, followed by a tasting of a delicious Arbian food speciality before concluding the tour.

a worthwhile tour

Very great tour with lots of insights into the city and great information Swen Götz knows a lot and doesn't just talk about everyday things. It was fun, interesting and you got a little bit of a feeling for the big city. A visit to the market hall is great, you can linger there for a long time.
