Learn about the region's wine industry at a traditional winery in Sremski Karlovci, where you will sample regional wine specialties.  Marvel at the Baroque architecture of the city center, including Serbia's oldest secondary school at the Gymnasium of Karlovci. Continue to the Petrovaradin Fortress – known as the Gibraltar on the Danube – and admire the medieval fortifications built in the 17th and 18th centuries to defend the country from the Turks. Move on to Novi Sad, Serbia's second city and a melting pot of cultures thanks to its rich history on the border of the former Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman empires. Stroll along the historic streets of Dunavska and Zmaj Jovina in the pedestrian zone and see the elegant City Hall. Very interesting and informative

The tour guide Jelica was fantastic and very knowledgeable. The day was well organised and we fit a lot in one day without feeling rushed and we certainly learnt a lot. The wine tasting is one small try of a nice local wine. Make sure to bring snacks or buy some on the way as there is not time for lunch until around 3pm. Overall a great day and would highly recommend.

Decent day

Overall it was a good day out of the city. I enjoyed the group I was with and Karlovci and Novi Sad are both nice. The wine tasting was lacking - the wine place we went to only offered 1 small sample of a sweet red. The guy at the winery didn’t show us the cellar or even speak with us to say hi. Our guide did tell us about the history and some information. The rest of the day made up for the wine place - in fact we stopped in at a different winery during our “free” time and were able to taste a few others and even purchased some.

Our guide was excellent. It was very nice that this tour meets you at your hotel. Our guide went above and beyond to pick us up in spite of closed roads and miscommunications! He was extremely well informed, his English was excellent, he was thoughtful and considerate of everyone, his pace was good, he was able to answer every question, and he was a sweet and open guy with a good sense of humor. I think the choice of stops, the length of the day, the amount of driving were all excellent! While we may have been able to see on our own what we saw on the tour, it would have been with considerable difficulty and far less informed.
