    On this full-day excursion to the Giant’s Causeway you’ll leave Belfast at 09:45 with your Irish guide and fellow travel partners for a drive through the rolling farmland of County Antrim to the northern coast of Ireland – an area of outstanding natural beauty. Take an exhilarating walk across the rope bridge to Carrick-a-Rede Island for a real cliff-top experience. This 30-meter deep and 20-meter wide chasm is traversed by a rope bridge erected by salmon fishermen. Visitors bold enough to cross to the rocky island are rewarded with fantastic views of Rathlin and the Scottish islands. Consider crossing at your own risk for a small optional charitable donation to the National Trust, the registered UK charity that maintains the bridge. The Giant's Causeway has often been described as the 8th wonder of the world, and once you have visited the site you’ll quickly see why. The area consists of around 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns formed during a volcano eruption 60 million years ago. This is one of the world’s great natural attractions although many Irish passionately believe the causeway was built buy the Celtic warrior hero Finn McCool! A new and ultra-modern visitor center is now open and provides visitors with unique audio guides and earphones that relate the story of the rock formations in many different languages. You’re guaranteed 2 hours at the Giant's Causeway on this tour before returning to Belfast.

    I'm over from England on my own so this trip was perfect for me to have a little bit of company. I met some lovely people on the coach and the experience from from the pick up until drop off was full of interesting facts and a huge helping of humour from our driver/tour guide Paul. He was amazing. The price was an absolute bargain, I planned to hire a car initally but I'm so pleased I didn't for this particular trip. Get booked up asap, you won't be disappointed.     Our pick up was very late due to some passengers not coming back to the coach at the correct time. We were waiting to be collected in Belfast and were about to give up and do something else when the coach appeared. Please remember to keep to the times advised by the bus driver. Our driver Paul was wonderful. He was funny but very helpful and considerate given that my husband was disabled and required a wee bit of help getting on and off the coach. Lunch was expensive, so bring your own or be prepared to spend a fair bit. I walked down to the Giant's Causeway bypassing the visitor's centre thinking that I could get the shuttle bus back up the very steep hill. Please check that the bus is working. The day I was there it was not and apparently a sign was posted in the visitor centre which I did not see. The journey uphill was daunting and on a very hot day, exhausting. The Causeway was fabulous and I am glad I went despite the unwanted walk uphill. Highly recommended tour.

    great excursion. the carrick a reason was unfortunately closed due to a landslide (according to what locals the rope bridge is closed more often than open so ask for this) this made up for the driver by driving past other sights. make sure you strictly adhere to the bus driver's times. he will leave your ass behind ...
