What people are saying about Bay of Plenty Region

Magical day! The caves are beautiful and glow warms are amazing. Hobbiton was magically cute. I haven’t watched the movie but I totally enjoyed every second. I need to warn you it is too crowded. You wouldn’t feel that much but at our first stop we have seen at 4 mini hobbiton houses although there were more of them at that area. I thought on the way back we will see that section but we haven’t. So if you see hobbiton houses and you want to get close to them and take photos do that! We are given time to see the gift shop in the beginning and at the end. Too much time is given for that, I would rather spend more time in Hobbiton around the houses... Complimentary drink was a nice touch at the end.

Our guide was Andrew and he was amazing! He knew a lot of facts and trivia about New Zealand and Hobbiton and he made an interesting trip. Not only that, he was attentive and made sure everyone was having a lovely time. The Waitomo Caves were absolutely mesmerising and something we won’t see again in our lifetime. Hobbiton movie set was just like stepping into the movie and for a fan it was a dream come true.

Peter was a phenomenal guide, first class driving with extremely informative and entertaining narration throughout. He was on hand at every point in the trip, and the only dissapointment is that we couldnt have him for every one of our adventures! If peter sees this, its from Josh and Diana!

Was an overall good day, everything ran smoothly from start to finish and Andy our tour guide was extremely friendly and knowledgable!

Love it the staff is very helpful and friendly as my mum can’t walk to far, they give us a Golf buggy, driver and guide
