phenomenally fabulous and Sambath + driver are THE best
This is what I posted on Trip Advisor: Sambath is most probably the best ambassador one could dream of to discover the beauty, history and friendliness of Cambodia, Buddhism and the Khmer people. This was our first full day in Siem Reap and before doing the Angkor tours we opted to visit the province of Battambang. The best choice ever: fabulous landscapes, incredibly interesting people (we met the owner of a VERY old house built under the French colonial rule... what a delight... a traditional family heirloom). And of course the temples with the unruly macaques and the chanting monks, and last but not least, the bamboo train. A magical day with Sam and the best driver with nerves of steel. What a way to kick off our 25th wedding anniversary. Thumps up from every hand on the multi-armed god! Thank you Sam for a Cambodian delight.
The full day trip offers full value for money. As a solo traveler it was safe and convenient to let me transport to the locations and benefit from an English speaking and knowledgeable guide. The day includes everything from the Killing Field location at the Temple to the fun experience with the Bamboo Train. Highly recommend!
Excellent tour with top notch guide
We spent a marvellous day with Sam our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and could answer any question we threw art him. His English is excellent and very easy to understand which is not always the case in Cambodia.
Fantastic guide and intriguing sites & activities
Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and open about the history of the sites we visited, which included the killing caves, temples and a great local restaurant for lunch
