Highlights
  • Float down the River Avon in a traditional cruiser boat
  • Enjoy 2 glasses of Prosecco along the way
  • Admire sights including Pulteney Bridge and Bath Abbey
Full description
On sunny days, enjoy an open cockpit roof on the boat and on cooler days, stay cozy and warm with a real coal fire. As you enjoy your trip in this authentic and lovingly restored 1960s small cruiser, your skipper will point out the key attractions.  See the entrance to the Kennet and Avon Canal, which links London with the Bristol Channel, and cruise under North Parade Bridge. Look out for nesting peregrine falcons at the 19th-century St. John’s Church, and marvel at the views of Pulteney Bridge, the rushing weir, and the city center architecture, including the 17th-century Bath Abbey. Enjoy your view with 2 glasses of Prosecco while you pass under Halfpenny Bridge and see the location where the old wharves used to stand, the central point of Bath’s trading links with Bristol since the 18th century.

The trip was perfect and they even accommodated alcohol free people on board with alcohol free prosecco. The driver and host were lovely and gave some knowledge about things along the route. Getting to go right into the weir was excellent. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is because I'd have liked it to be a bit longer as we thoroughly enjoyed it!

A wonderful way to view the city! Would highly recommend this trip to others visiting Bath. Put your guide on the boat was lovely and had great information to share with us. The Prosecco flowed nicely and our glasses were never empty. Definitely worth the money and an excellent trip.

We had done the city walking tour on our first day and then did the river tour on our last day. The young lady on board was great. Just attentive enough so you could take in the sites, but also gave you fun facts along the way. It was great to see the city from the water and get a completely different perspective and hear different historical facts. Well worth it.
