Full description
Come aboard a short cruise down the River Avon, passing all the best sights and taking some time to relax along the way. On sunny days, the cockpit roof will be open to the sun, and on cooler days, the coal fire will keep the saloon toasty warm. As you glide through the water in an authentic and lovingly-restored 1960's cruiser, your skipper will point out key attractions. Pass the entrance to the Kennet and Avon Canal, which links London with the Bristol Channel, and cruise under the North Parade Bridge. Look out for nesting peregrine falcons at the 19th-century St. John's Church. Marvel at views of Pulteney Bridge, the rushing dam, and the architecture of the city center, including 17th-century Bath Abbey. There, the cruiser will pause to allow time to take in the view. From Pulteney Bridge, you'll then turn and head back downriver. Pass under the Halfpenny Bridge and see the spot where the old wharves used to stand, the central point of Bath's trading. Tea, coffee, Prosecco, beer, and other beverages can be purchased on board.

Great trip if your short on time. Lovely and informative hosts and a small group due to size of the boat makes it a nice intimate experience. The delicious cocktail offered (a Berry gin I think topped with prosecco) goes down a treat whilst listening to a potted history of Bath, the river and bridges. The boat itself is cosy with even a stove for the winter. It's very well kept too.

Really enjoyed the tour. The boat was in excellent condition and very comfortable. We had the boat almost to ourselves and had a very informative guide who opointed out lots of small details that we would have missed. The views of the city were superb and it was particularly impressive to be able to go really close to the weir below Pulteney Bridge. All in all, it was a lovely tour: we only wished it could have been longer!
