From Tel Aviv: Jordan River, Nazareth, & Sea of Galilee Tour

1. From Tel Aviv: Jordan River, Nazareth, & Sea of Galilee Tour

After pickup from hotels in Tel Aviv, Herzliya, Netanya, and Bat Yam, your tour begins with an air-conditioned drive to Nazareth. Hear tales of the city, known as the childhood home of Jesus, and its important role in the Christian faith. See the Church of the Annunciation, where the Angel Gabriel visited the Virgin Mary in Christian scripture, and the Church of St Joseph, believed to stand on the site of Joseph’s carpentry workshop. Continue through the village of Kafer Kana, identified as the site where Jesus transformed water into wine, and arrive at the Sea of Galilee, Israel’s largest freshwater lake. Pass the Church of the Multiplication, and explore Capernaum on the shores of the sea. View the ruins of the synagogue that stood where Jesus taught and see the modern church that sits over St. Peter’s house, where Jesus is believed to have stayed.  Pass through the waterfront city of Tiberias and arrive in Yardenit, a sacred baptism site on the Jordan River. Admire this idyllic spot and enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Tabor, known to Christians as the Mount of Transfiguration, before your tour ends back in Tel Aviv.

Well-guided trip by 2 older men in a modern minibus. During the trip a lot was told about our whereabouts and about the country. The stay at the individual stations was relatively short, but it was perfectly sufficient for us. The food (fish fillet) in the St. Peters restaurant was really great. Salad buffet, one of three main dishes and coffee for only 80 shekels. At the end of the trip, the two tour guides even tried to get us a free taxi so that we could safely get back to our accommodation from the central bus stop. Highly recommended!

The tour was well organized and everything went perfectly. The travel guide gave us the most important information about the individual places and topics in a sympathetic manner in German and English. In any case, we really enjoyed this excursion and would highly recommend this tour to everyone!

We had 5 days in Israel and we used them to the fullest. We saw so much but still only a taste of what Israel has to offer. Definitely going back.

I was picked up sharp on time, all was organised beautifully and out driver / tour guide was very kind and informative.

Super excursion and our guide, Raphi just too nice, funny and with whom we learned a lot!
