We brought a 3 day Krakow card and it made our holiday so easy, particularly when using the trams. It avoided the need to always have the correct change for the automatic ticket machines which reduced our stress levels considerably. It also provides access to so many museums/sites of interest: there is so much to do in Krakow that you are spoilt for choice.
When we arrived at the Basilica, the ticket-taker at the door told us we had to have a printed copy of our tickets. Considering we purchased online, while in Krakow, we had no access to a printer. We had to walk 10 minutes and back, to get the ticket printed at the main office. Seems a bit old-fashioned.
This is the second visit to the church this year. The main altar and focal point of the church is under renovation, there is scaffolding all around, might be worth waiting awhile till work is complete, saying that, there is a video playing on screen showing the work done so far.
The tourist pass is a great idea! We jumped off and on trams without having to buy a ticket and validate it on each tram. Some museums still require you to get a ticket before entering - the pass doesn't allow you to walk straight in but it wasn't a big deal of us.
Quite convenient having the ticket which i’ve printed. Just showed the person and he let me enter after checking the ticket. And one must visit the inside of St. Mary’s Basilica-very beautiful! Must see for sure!
