I was unsure if it was worth going to Pompeii for the day as it was an all day excursion with my family. I am so glad we went, our tour guide, Enrica and our driver, Marco made the trip relaxing and enjoyable. When we arrived at Pompeii, we were greeted by a knowledgeable guide specifically for the archeological site and we learned quite a bit about life in Pompeii prior to the eruption of Vesuvius. It is was all pretty fascinating and even my teenage son was equally interested. We would’ve preferred ti hike Mt. Vesuvius but unfortunately this option was not available in Feb. but we did get to explore Naples a bit. Highly recommend, a nice way to break up our visit to Rome.

We enjoyed our day in Naples and Pompei very much! We opted for just the transport, which was comfortable and easy to locate. The guide was great, and communicated clearly about where and when to meet for the return. We had four hours in Pompei to wander around using our guide book and an app, which was perfect for us. It's a huge place and would be overwhelming to try to see all in one day, but we were able to navigate to the highlights that interested us most on our own. The bus was comfortable and the ride smooth. Would definitely recommend!

Pretty straightforward system to swap the online ticket for the actual one at the park entrance. Just wish I hadn't bothered to buy one online because there was only a very small line and I could have saved three euros. Would not bother to buy a ticket online in February but I would absolutely do it during the peak season. Pompeii itself is incredible and a must-visit place.

I learned so much history from our guide Mikael. He is a trained archeologist so he was able to give correct information on what are myths and truths about Pompeii, as well as explain the unknowns.

Our guide was knowledgeable, personable and willing answer our questions as we walked through a spectacular site!
