This was a last minute find and I’m so glad to have gone to Orvieto and Assisi. First was a beautiful stop in Orvieto, cable car to the top of the town and then some free time to see the cathedral and look at the local markets. Then onto lunch- where I very much appreciated that lunch broke up all the driving. Then arrived at Assisi with a lovely local guide who look us through the town and we able to capture some beautiful pictures and learn this history of Assisi especially of St Clare and St Francis. For me a trip well worth making if you have a free day when in Rome. Keep in mind that’s there’s a lot of driving as Assisi is quite far away, so if that’s not your thing this isn’t the trip for you.
It's a bit of a whirlwind tour moving form place to place, but we saw several impressive sites and beautiful views of the countryside. Elli, our tour guide, was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, translating flawlessly into Spanish and English. Orvieto was lovely and the Duomo there, impressive. Assisi, a beautiful medieval city of pink white limestone, was one of the most attractive places we visited, and it was full of the amazing histories of St. Francis and St. Clare. There isn't a much time to explore at any of the locations, but the trip was well worth it, and we would recommend it to others.
An awesome day discovering places places and people we have heard about. The tour guide was gracious and helpful and the local guide was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. A memorable day in our trip to Italy
Orvieto and Assisi were amazing. But we were not too happy with the late return and having to wait as others were being dropped off at hotels. What was supposed to be a 10 hour tour was actually 12 1/2 hours
Very interesting tour with 3 stops so very worth it.
