Recommended by my brother who had been there years ago. Hard to describe this place, not enough beautiful adjectives. It was so moving. It was a spiritual and humbling experience. I lit a candle for my family, living and deceased. Vies we’re spectacular, in every direction. Cable car ride was fantastic. Lunch was delicious. This was the highlight of our time in Barcelona.

when i booked this activity, i thought it was a tour with a starting time of 7:30 am when in fact it was a provision of services which we could use on our own during that day; the barcelona tourist office didn't open until 8:30 am & they were very helpful in providing vouchers for the metro to the train, the train to monserrat, all entrance fees, & a lunch voucher; we were free to use the voucher card anytime we chose to travel to monserrat; the time on the paperwork needs to be corrected to say that this is a fairly independent activity with the only time constraints being the hours monserrat is open but that the trains run from 7:30 am if you are able to pick up the vouchers the day before but on the day of the tour only from 8:30 am; the activity itself was excellent

The hiking trails were good. The Buffet restaurant was very good with the spread and quality of food. The Cathedral was majestic. The line for the Black Madonna is too long. Please ensure that you take the train up, as the ropeway does not start before 10.45 am, if you are going early. Also, the funicular is a separate ticket.
