Full description
Get off the beaten track and explore Bangkok on 2 wheels on this 4-hour night bike tour. Departing after sunset, you will ride down quiet back roads and small lanes to visit 2 ancient temples. Discover how beautiful the historic center of Bangkok is at night, when its many temples are spectacularly illuminated, the temperatures are cooler and the places you visit are much quieter. After meeting your guide at the local partner's shop, you will get a quick briefing and bike fitting, with all necessary equipment provided. Wind your way down small lanes, past ancient temples and canals, to experience the heart and soul of Bangkok. You will pass Tammasat University and catch a local ferry across the Chao Phraya River to ride along the quiet back roads that lead to Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). Enjoy the quiet ambiance of the temple before riding along a riverside track, passing more temples and churches. Cross back over the Choa Phraya River by bridge and stop at the famous flower market, which is at its busiest at night. Sample some of the local delights from the many street stalls and soak up the vivid colors of the flowers. Also visit infamous Giant Swing for impressive historical construction views. You will then cycle back to the start point, past the Grand Palace and Sanam Luang, which comes to life in the evening with a daily market all laid out on simple mats.

Riding a bike in Bagkok at sunset was unbelievable!!! So exciting, so quiet, so scary, so peaceful, and so safe. All at once!!! Thank you Tammy, my best wishes for you to continue growing, as Grasshopper bike riding tours are one of the best experience I’ve ever had!

Was just amazing, Tammy was a great guide, equipment provided was top quality, comfortable bikes and Tammy had our safety in mind. Those who have been on bike tours before may have felt their hands or bottom was sore afterwards, however these bikes have a very comfortable seat, very soft suspension, bikes were incredibly light hybrids and the handle bars had a soft grip; the perfect equipment for the duration we were riding. I really enjoyed the experience seeing the temples and the flower market and we got to try different street foods whilst on the trip provided by the tour guide. You get to experience the temples at night where there were literally no crowds and because it was at night the temperature was much more comfortable. Would highly recommend. The tight narrow streets and some areas required mounting up pavements and balancing around tight twisty corners, so would definitely recommend those with less riding experience to get some practice, overall worthwhile.

This was the second time I have chosen to go for this tour. Not because the first time was bad but bcuz the first time was so good that i felt i needed to do it again to etch it in my memory. Beautiful tour. It covers wat arun, wat pho, the flower market, ride around the grand palace and some other areas. Woody, our tour guide this time was extremely friendly and very humorous. He knew his history pretty well. Explained every minute detail that he could. And these guys r the best at their job. Any tour with the grasshopper is worth it. A bit pricey but then if u cudt costs, u settle for less. Thats wat I experienced in other parts of bkk. Must must do tour!!!
