The tour was a two-person tour with a driver and a guide in Yamanaka. This time, there were no tour participants other than us and it was reserved and we had a lot of luggage to arrive at Kuta from Ubud, but we were able to put it without problems. The guide and the driver were very kind. In particular, the guide Pike was well-documented and helped climbers besides his own tour visitors, so I felt that it was an excellent guide. Both of them seemed to like Japanese anime, and they enjoyed talking and talking about breakfast. You should bring water (you can get one), athletic shoes, warm clothes like a thick parka (no climbing is necessary because of mountain climbing), and it is good to have an eye mask and earplugs as the car travels long. If you have a large number of people, I think it is comfortable to have a flashlight. As a level, climbing Mt. Fuji requires a certain level of physical strength. If you climb too slowly, you will not be able to catch the blue fire time, so be caref

Boby our driver and Fahmi the tour guide we’re both absolutely brilliant, so helpful and made the tour what it was for us. Fahmi moved at our pace (one of us has an old knee injury which made it more challenging at times) and was very understanding but made sure we still got to see the blue fire and kept the energy and spirit high the whole time. He knew a lot about the history of the area and was really chatty. The breakfast after was absolutely delicious and rounded off one of the best tours I’ve done. It’s definitely challenging to climb the volcano and the crater rim but very doable. Just make sure you take layers as it’s cold and windy at the top! Genuinely such an amazing tour thank you to Fahmi and Boby!

This was an incredible trip, from being picked up in Kuta by Dandy to the top of Ijen with Fahmil and back again. The hike is steep and was completed by myself and my girlfriend in about an hour - we are both of average fitness. Fahmil was patient when we needed to stop and always upbeat to keep us going! He knew exactly where to bring us down the crater for photos and good views - he even took some photos for us and did a great job. We had gasmasks and headtorches provided which proved invaluable and worked great. The view from the top of the crater was incredible after we finished in the crater and the sun had risen. I am told at a better time of year. The breakfast the following day was also incredible and we were so grateful for it after a tiring decent! Honestly Dandy and Fahmil were as much highlights as the trip itself, true gentlemen in every sense of the word - I wish we could take every trip with them.
