We had a fantastic day today March 12th touring North Bali visiting Banyumala Twin Waterfalls, Pura Ulun Danu Bratan temple and the UNESCO rice fields at Jatiluwih with driver, guide and all round good guy, Gede Susila. He drove carefully throughout while providing us with just the right amount of info, and is highly recommended.

Our guide Gede Susila was excellent! his driving was very safe and comfortable and he was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and all local customs. Gede provided great detail on the Hindu religion while at Lake Bratan and went above and beyond in ensuring my wife and I were comfortable. Gede also took lots of great photos for us! I definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to learn more about Bali's culture and I also strongly recommend Gede as a guide.

The trip started with a "coffee plantation". After different plants and a luwak were shown, there was a range of experiments on different types of coffee with different flavors. A Kopi Luwak was offered for 50k IDR. Then you could buy everything you tried. Not intrusive per se. I had expected significantly more coffee plants when I was named a coffee plantation. He drove by there to support the local traders... Well. Then, at my request, I went to the Ghost Palace, an abandoned hotel in Bedugul. Nothing has been done here since 2020. The garden is overgrown and the building is standing. I don't see something like that every day! Next we went Banyumala, Handara Gate, Pura Ulun Danu and Jatiluwi. Everything is fantastic, I don't need to describe it I think. The guide Nyoman is happy to show and explain his world to you. He was always well prepared and knew what to do.
