It's worth the effort!

The pick-up went well, everyone was on time. I found the car trip very tiring because it is dragging and the route is curvy and with a difference in altitude. I felt sick both on the way there and back, but I was still able to sleep a little. We were nine participants and two guides on site. Fortunately, we were about on the same level of fitness. The ascent and descent was physically demanding for me, even though I do sports regularly. Sure-footedness and sturdy shoes are a must when descending into the crater; I was wearing light hiking shoes, others were wearing sneakers. The organizer's equipment was good and the extra jacket they offered me was very, very welcome in the cold of the night crater with my t-shirt and fleece. Breakfast was delicious! The atmosphere was always good, the guides paid attention to everyone. I am glad that I took part.

nice experience, but I recommend everyone to evaluate their physical condition very well as it is a VERY demanding journey: long journey to reach the volcano (and for the return), night departure, climbing in the dark with STRONG slope and cold air ( mountain), difficult descent into the crater (steps in the rock without a handrail or the like), very pungent gas at the bottom of the crater (the masks help, but do not eliminate odor and discomfort to the respiratory tract). TO BE BOOKED WITH CAUTION !!! however, there are paid carts (140K rupees) for those who do not feel like walking. our PUR guide was almost a guardian angel, I will never thank him enough

A unique experience, the transfer leaving Sa Semyniak is really long, 7 hours by car plus 1 hour by ferry plus another 2 hours to reach the base camp but IT IS A VALUED THOUGHT. Seeing the blue flames at night is a unique thing and the acid lake inside the crater is the largest in the world
