From start to finish, the experience was so much fun! You will start by gearing up into a wetsuit and harness and then head off for a 30 minute hike to reach the waterfalls. Though the wetsuit is a bit heavy for the hike, it helps a lot as it protects you from the vegetation and allows you to slide on your bottom if you prefer for any steep parts. Over the course of the next few hours, it’s a mix of jumps, rappels and walking through the river. The vegetation is stunning and you feel like you are in an oasis. We always felt safe and at ease to go at our own pace and choose which way we felt most comfortable going down. They also take pictures and video of you so you can just enjoy the experience. The guides were fantastic and really nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend if you are up for an adventure and some thrills!

Great fun, jumping from waterfalls for more than three hours in a row, in a lush azorean forest. Guides are skilled and knowledgeable, but also very cool and laughing and joking the whole time. Wife, two teens and I enjoyed every minute. Beware that the walk to the river is 30 minutes both ways on a muddy and sometimes narrow path through dense forest. We thought of it as part of the adventure, though.
