Lea was amazing from A La Française. She made sure to inform her coworker whe. she had car trouble and gave us more time on the tour since we were a little late. I learned about Roussillon and Gordes which were french towns that I had not realized were part of the plan. The lavandin was lovely and with good lighting on our cloudy day.

I didn’t really have specific expectations going into this, but since it was the cheapest “see the lavender fields” I didn’t expect to experience what I got to. We were able to go to two villages in the mountains of Lourdes which were unique and beautiful. Then we also visited the Abbaye of Sénanque, the most well known picture area of lavender in Provence. To top it all off, we went to a special location to see fields of lavender! Keep in mind, we were not allowed to walk through the lavender, so if that’s what you’re wanting, this is not it. Also, its an hour car-ride from Avignon in a van so be prepared if you get car sick, the roads are very windy.

The tour guide, Olivier, was great. He went to great lengths to ensure that we saw lavender fields in bloom. It was perhaps a little late in the season to see the fields in all their glory, but we got some good photos and the rain clouds seemed to make the colour of the fields appear more vibrant.
