This is a must do tour. The coach picked us up at a near by location (4 minute walk away) as pick up was not possible at our hotel. There was a tour guide on the coach, they explained what was going to happen. We had 3 small breaks, during the tour, where there were toilets and refreshments. The tour itself was excellent, very informative & emotional. The guide explained in detail what atrocities happened in each area. Something we were unaware of - everyone got off at one stop regardless of pick up. Our hotel was a 30 minute walk away. Luckily we had a small amount of charge on our phone so could follow google maps to get back.

  • From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour

    10. From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau Guided Tour

Depart Krakow for a confronting day of reflection with a visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps. Undoubtedly, it is a solemn place that leaves a lasting impression all visitors, and an important memorial to the victims of the extermination.  Funded by the Nazi party in 1940, Auschwitz-Birkenau became both a symbol of human suffering and a witness to physical and emotional exhaustion. As the largest concentration camp operated by the Nazis, it became the final resting place for millions of people, mostly Jews, put to their death in the hideous gas chambers. Visit the museum and memorial in the suburbs of Oświęcim, about 60 kilometers west of Krakow. A very educational and sobering tour. It definitely should be on everyone’s to do list. We must not forget that we are all human and we should treat others as we would be treated

Well worth it. A surreal experience. Don’t plan on doing anything after, make this the one thing you do in the day. Just so much to process.

Our first time with getyourgide. Great experience! The bus was always on time and the guide was super friendly. Would recommend this trip!

Very high quality bus pick-up at the end of the tour. Visit with a very strong emotional charge but essential to realize the human horror

Insightful day. The guide was very informative and gave us lots of information. We started in auschwitz 1 and then went onto auschwitz 2.
