Full description

Explore Argolis and its archaeological sites on a guided tour by van or bus. See Mycenae, the Lion's Gate, Nafplio, and more as you learn about their history. Tuck into a delicious local lunch (if you select the option) in Mycenae and taste local flavors.

Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea. Drive to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city "rich in gold" of the ancient poets.

Visit the Lion's Gate, the Cyclopean walls, the royal tombs, and so forth. Depart for Nafplio through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress.

Find numerous interesting spots of attractions all over Argolis. Leave for Epidauros to visit the 4th-century BC theatre famous for its astonishing acoustics. Return to Athens by the National road connecting Epidauros with Corinth. Enjoy lunch in Mycenae.

Mme la guide expliquait alternativement en anglais et en francais avec un air blaze. Pendant les pauses, elle s’entretenait tres vivace avec le conducteur autobus. Quand meme,l’experience a ete interesante. Si a Epidauros et a Micene le temps aloque a ete raisonable, a Nafplio les 25 minutes ne sont pas sufisantes. Une mention positive pour le dejeuner chez le restaurant MENELAUS.

This trip was well worth the money!! It was really nice to see a little bit of everything the times in each place are short but it was long enough and a great way to see a little of everything. We ordered lunch from the a la carte menu on the day but it really wasn’t great (nor the included lunch) it’s a restaurant in the middle of no where and nothing special at all- it would have been much better to stop in Nafplio. There was a stop at a pottery workshop at the end not mentioned in the itinerary. Efi our tour guide was absolutely incredible and we can’t thank here enough!! she was so passionate about everything she told us and enjoyed sharing Greek history and mythology with us. In nafplio she gave us tips on where to explore during our free time and when we crossed paths in the church she was keen to tell us about the saints, finding Saint George for us and have a conversation with us. Efi truly goes out of her way to make your trip fun. Thank you for making our trip so great!!
